Stephanie L. Rollo BSN, RN, CGRN My name is Steph Rollo and 2018 marks my 20th year as a RN at Glens Falls Hospital (GFH). In 2007 I cross trained to work in our GI Center and I never looked back. I love GI! I am a member of the SGNA and I regularly attend GI Conferences and educational opportunities to help me grow professionally. I am dedicated and committed to endoscopy nursing. I received my certification as a CGRN in 2015. I am the Immediate Past-Chairperson of the GFH Informatics Council and the Immediate Past-Chairperson of our GI Center’s Unit Based Council (UBC). I was recently elected as the Chairperson of our Coordinating Council; where each Council Chairperson from our Core Councils and UBCs come together, for 2018. I teach the GI Educational Component of our hospital’s Bridge to Practice Series for new nurses. I provide new nurses with an understanding of the types of services, treatments, and procedures that are done in the GI Center and why they are done.
I look forward to the opportunity to share my passion for GI and continuing education. I respectfully request that you consider me for the position of President Elect for the CNYSGNA.
Meghan Miskinis RN, MSN I have worked in Endoscopy (as an RN) for the past 18 months. I recently took the nurse manager role covering Ambulatory Care and Endoscopy at St. Mary’s Hospital. I am just starting my new role and looking to become active with CNY SGNA to better help my unit.
I graduated nursing school in 2009 and worked mostly ICU/Cardiac ICU for the last 8 years (including Glens Falls Hospital). I moved back to Amsterdam to be closer to my parents and have been working in Endo since August 2016.
Nancy Wells I am putting my name in for a board position in region 37. I have been an RN since 2002. I graduated from Russell Sage College with a BSN. From there I began my career at St. Peter’s Hospital in their Cancer Care Center. I became ACLS certified and then chemotherapy certified. I was charge nurse on evenings for a few years and then as well on weekend track. I transferred to day shift and became a clinical care coordinator.
In 2009 I took a job at the Stratton VA Medical Center in Endoscopy. I have been fortunate enough to work with an amazing team at the VA. I have attended numerous GI conferences locally and in May I will travel to Orlando for the national conference. I am a member of SGNA, and look forward to become a member of region 37 board of directors. I am a perpetual student. I love to learn new tasks and techniques. I am a super user for my team in procedures such as Manometry, pH studies, and Wireless Capsule Endoscopy.
